There are many books written about how to raise a child,. Why then still the cry WHY WON’T MY CHILD LISTEN?

Why the cry that parenting is so difficult?

The main reason according to Myra and extensive research by many scientists and behaviouralists is that each child is different. Each child has a unique fingerprint and is going to make a unique mark on the world.

This is substantiated by the reality that often children from the same parents, raised in the same environment and treated the same – have totally different responses, behaviours and personalities.

Myra teaches parents to understand themselves firsts – and then SEEK TO UNDERSTAND YOUR CHILD.

When parents understand the uniqueness of their precious child – they can then develop the child, retaining the uniqueness. However this uniqueness may not develop in an unstructured chaotic way. Parents are shown how to create boundaries for behaviour, emotions and chores.

When parents are consistent, clear and create fair and firm boundaries, discipline and consequences - parenting is easy, and the joy it is meant to be.

When Myra works with children, parents are often astounded at how they listen to her, do what she asks them to do and creates a fun relationship with them.

The techniques she uses are easy. She does not tell what to do – instead teaches parents to listen to their children, look out for signs along the way that give clues to what is going on for the child and guides the parent how to respond.

She shows how to RESPOND rather than REACT. We all know how to do that pretty well.

Some parents have one consultation with Myra and get enough information to change their entire family dynamic.

Other families engage in entire family work to move towards positive changes.
