Kinesiology – finding the
real cause
Kinesiology creates positive and lasting changes
by revealing the real causes of problems through a method of detecting
imbalances in the body.
Kinesiology is the blend of western and eastern
healing sciences. It treats the person as a whole. Kinesiology,
a type of biofeedback, is used to detect and correct various imbalances
in the body. The imbalances may relate to stress, nutrition, learning
difficulties, ADD, allergies, pain, injuries depression, relationship
and behavioural difficulties etc. This process leads the Kinesiologist
to the source or origin of the problem, and through the biofeedback
mechanism of muscle checking, the subconscious can be directly monitored.
These neurological responses not only find the cause but also direct
the therapist to the resolution of the problem.
How does kinesiology work?
Let us use the analogy of an electrical piece of
equipment (the body), which is controlled by a computer (the brain).
When it is under chemical, environment, emotional or structural
stress, it protects itself by blowing a fuse -preventing it from
functioning. This is when health, performance and learning problems
arise. There is a ‘blank out’. A Kinesiologist locates
the blown fuse (by using the ‘Muscle checking’ technique)
and resets the body. The body is then able to function at its optimum.
The body stores everything in muscle memory. People
often think they have dealt with issues, only to discover through
Kinesiology that the real causes or origins have been buried or
suppressed as a coping mechanism. When body energy is in balance
the results can be surprisingly quick and long lasting, including:
- Stress and Pain relief
- Increased energy
- Improved health and well being
- Better co-ordination
- Enhanced mental and physical performance
- Alleviates depression
- Improved learning ability
- Improves relationships
- Restores motivation
- Increases the ability to focus, concentrate and improve memory
Brain Gym
Brain gym is a system of physical movements that
directly enhance brain functions.
Stress and lack of brain integration are the major
causes of learning and behavioural difficulties. Brain Gym uses
simple and fun movements to remove neurological blocks and imbalances
in the body, to enable it to learn and perform better.
The specific movements activate neurological pathways
in the brain for requisite skill mastery. An integration process
allows the left and right sides of the brain, the front and back
parts of the brain to communicate more effectively.
Recognized in over 20 countries, Brain Gym has
been taught in thousands of schools worldwide and is used in corporate,
institutional and athletic programs. In Europe Brain Gym is part
of teacher training.
Brain Gym prepares the person for easy and effective
learning.
Benefits of Brain Gym:
- Improvement of reading, spelling, writing and maths,
- sporting ability
- improved memory
- better concentration
- increase in co-ordination
- greater focus
- increase in self esteem and confidence
- stability of relationships
- increase in appropriate behaviour
Brain Gym prepares students for exams, physical
challenges and generally for a more balanced life.
