reframing to elicit new tools and strategies for altered behaviour

and profitability.
Reaching Beyond believes that action without PURPOSE
and PASSION are ineffective.

these in their lives and their communities.

change by dealing with causes rather than symptoms:-
One on One consultations:
Kinesiology & Brain Gym:- Educational, Counselling,
Physical, Emotional, Depression, Social, Self-esteem, Health and
Well being, Learning difficulties eg, ADD, ADHD, and Inappropriate
Behaviour .
Myra will diagnose what the real issue is and use
the appropriate techniques to support changes. Because of her large
skill set, these vary from individual to individual to ensure the
best outcome for the client.
If she is not able to help the client she has a wide range of colleagues
to refer the client to.
Parenting:
Myra sometimes works only with the parents, other
times with the child and the parents or with the entire family.
The desired outcome is improved relationships between child and
parents. A few outcomes may be; understanding your child, managing
your child’s difficult behaviour and creating a harmonious
home life. (See section on Parenting)
Life Coaching:
In times gone by we had the support of families,
friends and a community. As we become more isolated physically and
emotionally (internet etc), we lose the support and guidance of
people close to us or those or we respect. Life coaching is a wonderful
way of getting support and guidance through a range of situations
including:
- Career changes and decisions
- Coping with change and transitions including bereavement
- Family breakdowns or difficulties
- Motivation and clarity to make decision
- Guiding the individual or group to discover their purpose
- Manifesting a life where purpose and passion are the key ingredients.

Why won't my child listen?
It is a thought provoking book giving parents reasons,
strategies and confidence
There’s hardly a parent since time began
who hasn’t uttered that cry. Our book can help you answer
that question. Written by experts in early childhood development
and psychology, Why Won’t My Child Listen? presents an entirely
new and very effective approach to parenting in the 21st century.
It focuses on the different way your child’s brain functions
and how parts of the brain can be turned on and off, which in turn
affects behaviour and learning.
Parents today face even greater challenges than
previous generations due to the immense changes in society and technology.
Children are bombarded with influences from all directions and are
often highly stressed, which again affects behaviour, learning and
communication.
This communication breakdown has become increasingly and despairingly
obvious in recent years. Statistics show a sharp increase in reported
incidents of youth suicide, depression, schizophrenia, ADD, ADHD
and other disorders.
WHY WON’T MY CHILD LISTEN offers a new and proven approach
for parents. Written in a friendly, conversational style, it includes
easy-to-grasp concepts, practical strategies and many case studies.
Most importantly, the approach has been ‘road tested’
by thousands upon thousands of parents over the past 30 years.
WHY WON’T MY CHILD LISTEN also offers a wealth
of practical advice and explanations of how parents can change their
child’s behavior using everyday strategies of positive language,
achievable boundaries and the rules of cause and effect.
Some of the practical topics covered include:-
- Modifying Inappropriate Behaviour
- Conflict Resolution
- Consistency in parenting
- Healthy eating
- The importance of play
- Setting boundaries
- Dealing with feelings
- Encouraging children to behave appropriately
- Communicating effectively
- Nurturing your child’s spirit
- Building your child’s self esteem
WHY WON’T MY CHILD LISTEN is designed to
take the stress out of parenting, while at the same time putting
the fun back into it!
